Very friendly and enjoyable atmosphere (great bartenders). The food and drinks are reasonably priced.  Food portions are a good size and very tasty.  It's basically a spot for any meal of the day including a brunch menu.  During the week on certain days they offer $5 burgers and margaritas and always have daily food specials. If you're looking for a great bar to be a regular or just a quick meal before the Red Sox this is the place.  I have been many times and I will continue to go back.  My favorites include the club sandwiches and the Triathlon smoothie.

Apps and desert make this place a pre and post game favorite. Only two blocks from Fenway Park come to Thortons for a full bar, outdoor patio, and friendly atmosphere. The service always comes with a smile. This place is classic Boston. Try Jerry's missing fingers over a bed of spinach (its a local's secret) its grilled not fried which shouldn't make you feel bad about having a loaded cheesecake brownie for dessert. Definitely a better option than waiting forever for service at Sweet Caroline's or Rem Dogs!

Three stars for dinner, five stars for brunch.  Just returned from a lovely Memorial Day brunch featuring attentive service, eggs florentine & french toast.  Oh, and a few Bloody Mary's. The eggs florentine was nice - The spinach wasn't overdone, and I LOVE it when my sauteed spinach still tastes like spinach.  The french toast had a light and crispy texture as well as a yummy dusting of cinnamon and sugar.  The Bloody Mary's... oh the Bloody Mary's.  So delicious.  Spicy, strong and cheap!  $5.95 for Finlandia vodka?  It's no Grey Goose, but I'll take it at that price :) I highly recommend Thornton's for a pleasant and reasonably priced brunch, especially if it's a nice day and you can snag some outdoor seating.

Thornton's is a hidden gem in the Fenway. We went on a low-key night, the ambiance was perfect, the food was great, the prices were reasonable, and our waitress Kristina was fantastic! Close enough to the hustle and bustle on Boylston & Brookline St but without all the hassle.
